Dwele: I think I love You

DweleGoosepimples all over…

Dwele is dropping his new album “Some kinda…” on October 4th. First single “I think I love You” is totally Dwele: smooth, flowing, the right beat, respectful, womanfriendly… once again baby-making-music.
Just had the pleasure of pre-listening snippets of the album on Amazon and… Man!

On this album Dwele seems to lift his skills to even a higher level and has now added some co-ops with artists like Slum Village [Keep on], Antwan Gardner [Somekinda] and Boney James [Wake the Baby].

Really look forward to this release, and even more to seeing him perform on stage!

He’s visiting Europe in October and November… will see where to see him, but this time I simply GOTTA see him.

[update: Yesss! will see him October 28th in Paradiso][check out his live performance at VH1, with 2 tracks of his new album]

Jay-Z… is he planning a come-back?

Just some thoughts, not completely out of the blue…
Reading between the lines of different articles on Hova, listening to some American online radio channels and podcasts, I get the vibe that Jay is not that far away from a big announcement. Frankly said, I think his come-back is really near.

Looking at his so-called retirement after his blow-out last concert in Madison Square Garden, it looks like he has been having some trouble not spitting his verses… Whether he was triggered by other rappers in disses or simply making guest appearances for fellow-artists, dropping his verses and everfluent flow… Jay has not really stepped out of the spotlight.

Even though he very clearly chose for the business-part of the hiphop industry(I’m not a businessman, I am a Business man!, Let me handle my Business man!), Jigga-man must have a nagging feeling that lately he has been performing only for the credit of other artists… While he is long from being at a retirement-age.

So, pondering at that… was the whole Black Album and Fade to Black ending of his career just a well marketed stunt? Did Jay always had in mind to return to probably even bigger heights? Rumours say that in his little circle, he is answering people in flowing rhymes and seems to push his skills to higher levels. Are these signs that he is in his last phase before dropping his com-back album?

He has proven his skills as artist, entertainer and business(man)… so it would not surprise me he being an excellent marketeer.
This all probably just a matter of time.

D’Angelo In Critical Condition After SUV Accident

D’Angelo, back in 2000 extremely hot in the charts (and body) with his single “How does it Feel?”, has been in a car accident last week with his Hummer.

Not wearing his seatbelt, he was ejected from the car and had to be air-transported to the nearest hospital. At the moment of the accident, he was with another passenger, Lynne Sellers, who was wearing her seatbelt and was released from hospital after treatment…

D'Angelo mugshotAfter his arrest for drunk driving and drug possession earlier this year, fans were shocked to see the mugshot of D’Angelo with appearantly quite some extra weight.

Current condition of Mr. Brown Sugar is unknown…
