Yesterday was the big night out. Paradiso Amsterdam. 1 hour and 20 minutes JOSS STONE…
I am speechlees, overwhelmed, deeply impressed, just couldn’t stop smiling… This girl, such a voice, such an ability to put on an incredible performance!

She is shy and giggly when she talks, taller than expected and a very very nice appearance on stage…
And then she starts to sing:
Starting with “Chokin’ Kind” the first track of her latest album she impressed right-away… Where does that sound come from? She is 16 and performs and sings like a goddess that has been there, done that, suffered and knows the way of life like no-one… Singing songs from her debut-album “The Soul Sessions” mixed with her own songs that will be appearing on her new album, she touched everybody with delicate songs like “I had a Dream” and “For the Love of You” and with up-tempo songs like “Super Duper Love” which ended in a long jam-like session. Ability to translate the spirit of the lyrics in the music was very obvious in her version of “Dirty Man”… screaming and aching…

Did I already say that I am deeply impressed by this young woman?

I am so glad that I was able to witness this first performance of her in The Netherlands. It sure has been the base for keeping track of this girl… Concerning the future I wouldn’t be surprised if she is going to show us some magic…
Her own tracks that will appear on the new album were enchanting… Looking forward to the release!
