At CES:

With a patient look on his face, Bill Gates welcomed pop star Justin Timberlake to the stage Wednesday night during the his keynote speech at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The singer was there, along with MTV Networks head Van Toffler, to tout the Urge music subscription service, soon to be released by MTV. Unlike any rival service, Urge is built directly into Microsoft’s upcoming version of the Windows Media Player.

So… soon there will be another option for music download, experience and interaction. I can understand that for some consumers making a simple choice becomes a drama. Of course Bill scoops up a load of clients by integrating Urge into the new release of WMP. But still, there are sooo many possibilities!

Personally I stick to iTunes and regular CD’s, I do not want to have accounts everywhere…

On the side, good to hear a little on Justin Timberlake again. While he has been busy in movies lately, he announced to find a balance in his acting- and singing career. I do hope so. Together with Timbaland, The Neptunes and Nelly, he made some hott tracks. A new album would really be appreciated.
